The Mason house plan design has a generous amount of room. This home is designed to reflect the indigenous Craftsman architectural style. The compact size of the footprint makes the plan suitable for the average builder lot size. It is an idea design for new subdivision developments or infill build in suburban neighborhoods.
WALKING THROUGH THE MASON HOUSE PLAN FIRST FLOOR
The Mason house plan has two floors of total heated living space at 2,792 square feet. The first floor plan has a spacious formal dining room of the foyer entrance. Flowing from the dining room is the family room with a corner fireplace and a wall of triple windows. Leaving the family room will take you to the breakfast area which opens up to a cozy keeping room. The kitchen overlook the shares breakfast/ keeping room space making this an entertaining place for family to hang out while dinner is being prepared.
One of the best things about this craftsman home plan is that it has a guest bedroom on the first floor. Just off the foyer and family room is a hallway that leads to the bedroom which privately sit away from the main living areas. The bedroom also has access to a full bathroom within the private hallway. It can be used for guest or as an in-law suite for more permanent guest.
SECOND FLOOR WALK THROUGH
Access to the second floor is available off the foyer. The stairs lead you to the sleeping areas for the entire family. A master bedroom and an additional two bedrooms fill out most of the second floor. The master bedroom is spacious and includes a sitting area. It has an adjoining vaulted master bathroom with a separate tub and a four foot shower. His and hers closets fill out the space and there is also an unfinished private bonus room.
Bedroom two and three share a bathroom with a double vanity. The open space above the family room serves as a playroom for kids which can also be a flex room for other uses. A laundry room off the playroom provides space for doing laundry and folding. The Mason house plan is an excellent choice for any family to make their home.

Kirya J. Duncan is the principal Building Designer and founder of Design Evolutions Inc., GA. A native of Natchez, Mississippi where he graduated from North Natchez High School in 1989. After high school, Kirya attended Hinds Community College, in Raymond Mississippi. There, he studied Architectural Drafting and Design Technology at Hinds Community College, in Raymond Mississippi. The following year, Kirya transferred to the University of Southern Mississippi (Hattiesburg, MS) and majored in Architectural Engineering. In August of 1995, Kirya moved to Atlanta, Georgia. He worked in the residential design field for nearly four years. During that time, he worked on custom homes for clients that included fortune 500 company executives, music entertainers (Kelly Price, Rozonda “Chilli” Thomas) and pro athletes. Kirya has over 20 years of experience in the field of residential design and planning. After four years of gaining work knowledge, Kirya started Design Evolutions Inc., GA as a result of that experience.
