This Mountain Modern Cabin was designed for a client in Gatlinburg TN. The previous cabin had burned down in the wildfires and we had to use the existing footings for the new cabin. The client didn't want a traditional cabin, which was what burned down, they wanted a modern cabin designed in its place. With the existing footing perimeter already there we set out to design within those parameters and came up with the first "Mountain Modern" cabin in Gatlinburg TN. This plan is only 1,700+ s.f. but feels so much bigger with the window walls at the rear of the cabin. There is also a private cantilevered deck from the 2nd floor bedroom that will give you beautiful views while having coffee in the morning no matter where you decide to build it. This is a 2 Bedroom 2 Bath modern cabin with a loft and separate Bunk Room for the kids. It also has a spacious kitchen and dining area as well as a big deck to enjoy the outdoors. The entire ceiling on the 2nd floor is cathedral.
Designer Comment: The plans do include structural drawings, however, those drawings will need to be reviewed by your local structural engineer and stamped before construction. You will also need to meet all requirements of your local building department.
