An authentic shingle style home truly fuses with the surrounding landscape. Seal Harbor is the perfect choice for a smaller home on a relatively wide lot. Its long, shallow footprint creates a private backyard and interior space full of light and garden views.
Upon entering the home, one is greeted by a dynamic entry hall which is bathed in sunlight from a row of windows above the stair. This entry flows into a large great room and a kitchen/family room, both of which open up onto an expansive rear terrace. The great room also opens to a covered porch with outdoor fireplace and views of both backyard and side garden. This porch can be outfitted with removable glass or screen panels or with motorized screens.
Seal Harbor can be upgraded to include an attached or detached garage of any size, with or without a second floor studio/bedroom(s).
1st Floor Plan: Like a true shingle style house, Seal Harbor has a layout which is both modern in its open flow and traditional in its strongly defined rooms. The primary rooms have 8 foot tall french doors and large 6′-6″ tall windows that fill the spaces with natural light and encourage easy flow to outdoor rooms. First floor ceilings are 9′-3″ high which, along with the oversized windows, give this relatively small home a surprisingly spacious feel.
Set between the great room and kitchen/family room described in the site plan section, Seal Harbor also features a sun-filled dining room that projects out onto the rear terrace. Beyond the kitchen, a large mudroom, laundry room, and pantry ensure that Seal Harbor operates with the efficiency of a much larger home.
2nd Floor Plan: Seal Harbor has large windows and 8′-8″ ceilings throughout the second floor. As an option, any space can be made taller with a cathedral ceiling. The master suite features a private office with views of the back garden, a master bath with his & hers vanities, and a large dressing room with two windows. Seal Harbor has three more generously-scaled bedrooms, each with its own bathroom.
Basement Plan: Seal Harbor is shown here with 842 square feet of finished space including a large playroom, a bar, an exercise room, a bathroom, and an optional fireplace. Full basements on this website are detailed with numerous full height windows, filling the space with natural light and making it feel anything but underground.
Seal Harbor is shown with four large basement windows and additional windows are possible if more finished space is desired. A walk-out basement with french doors is also possible for sloping sites.
